2025 Rotarians in the Rough
Join us June 16!
This Downtown Rotary-sponsored event is a fundraiser for a different local nonprofit organization each year. The golf outing will be a four-person, best-shot tournament with dinner provided following play. The Rotary Club of Cedar Rapids (Downtown Rotary) is proud to support area organizations that are doing incredible work.
This year’s benefiting nonprofit is YPN! Proceeds from the event will be used to support overall program costs including food, transportation, and program supplies for YPN’s 2025-26 Building Bright Futures (BBF) program. The BBF weekly parent education program is core to YPN’s mission and primarily serves first-time parents ages 13-27, in addition to parents outside of this age range in order to respond to community needs. Participants meet at Kirkwood Community College and are offered classes in English, Spanish, Pashto, Dari, French and Swahili 40 weeks per year. Approximately 100-120 parents and children attend weekly. Transportation, meals, and childcare are provided free of charge.
